Can you please provide some tips on pruning my syzygium wilsonii
I have several Syzygium wilsonii that have grown very straggely. Can they be pruned to shape? If so, when?
Hi Maree,
Syzygium wilsonii can be pruned regularly to help promote more flowers and shape the bush if it becomes too straggly. It is recommended to prune the plant after flowering so autumn and winter would be the best time depending on where you live in Australia. The fruit are edible and can be used to make jam.
I have attached a link to an article from the Australia Botanical Gardens which you may find interesting.
