Hi, Can you please tell me the difference between Garden lime and Dolomite lime ?

Which do I use to increase or decrease my soils Ph levels ?

Hi Tom,

Thank you for contacting Yates.

Both garden lime and Dolomite will raise soil pH, but garden lime only add calcium to soil, whereas Dolomite add both calcium and magnesium to the soil.

To help lower your soil pH (making it more acidic), try 'Yates Soil Acidifier Liquid Sulfur'. It helps creates ideal growing conditions for acid loving plants such as camellias, azaleas, magnolias and blueberries. It's an easy-to-use liquid formulation, it can be diluted and applied without the dust and the mess associated with traditional granular products. Click here for more information on this product: https://www.yates.com.au/product/garden-fertilisers/speciality-fertilisers/yates-soil-acidifier-liquid-sulfur

Hope this helps and happy gardening :)
