Why are my blueberry plants leaves turning brown?

Fruit and Citrus • Physical Damage

Hello Dileep,

These symptoms can be caused in blueberry plants by inadequate watering, over fertilising or inadequate nutrition (particularly potassium deficiency) and incorrect soil pH (blueberry plants generally prefer a rather acidic pH of between 4.5 and 5.5). We recommend regular watering and, for potted plants; the addition of Yates Waterwise Water Storage Crystals to the potting media. Feed with a balanced complete fertiliser for best results, we recommend Yates Dynamic Lifter Plus Fruit Food. Target any ongoing potassium deficiency specifically with Yates Fruit and Flower Booster Liquid Potash. Lower soil pH to the desired range with Yates Soil Acidifier Liquid Sulfur. Please do contact us again with any further issues you might be encountering in the garden. Kind regards, Matt Yates Consumer Advice Horticulturalist
