Why are my potted mandarin leaves curling?

We water the mandarin tree daily and it has been transferred from a garden to the pot about 6 months ago. Now the grubs are not there, but the leaves are still curling after we have spray we pest spray. Any ideas on what to do?

Fruit and Citrus • Pests

Hi Kaye,

You have two issues here, one which will be the main one is leaf miner which is cause by a small grub that tunnels inside the leaf. this can be treated by using PestOil . For the other little caterpillars shown in your photos here they are the larvae of the large citrus butterfly which is the beautiful big black butterfly that you can see flying around. they don't normally do much damage so treatment isn't normally necessary. make sure that your tree is well drained I hope this helps. http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_butters/Orch_butt.htm
