What are these brown spots on the underside leaves of my orange tree?

Very old tree. Massive crop this year. Fertilised tree in October. Have had a reasonably wet season.

Fruit and Citrus • Pests

Hi Lyn,

Can the brown spots be removed with your fingernail? If they can be removed they may be red scale which is controlled using PestOil . If the trees is shaded or in a very sheltered position where the foliage dries slowly the tree can be susceptible to brown spot. This is normally seen on mandarins. Can you send a close up photograph of the leaf and the brown spots?
