Why are small cone shaped snails attaching themselves to my native trees
Could you suggest how we can get rid of them
Hi Robyn
Baiting is the most effective way of controlling conical snails when they are foraging on ground level. Snails tend to increase in numbers during the months after the autumn rains so baiting should begin in autumn as a preventative measure. At this stage you will need to hand remove them from the foliage of your plants to prevent any further damage. I have attached a link which I trust you will find useful.
