Hydrangeas have rust spots on flowers.Any anwer?

Dear Colleen,

If the flowers have been affected, you should remove those flowers otherwise the spores will spread and infect the rest of the plant. Inspect the underneath of the leaves where it is likely you will find the rust spores and remove any leaves that are badly infected. You can use a product called Yates Rose Shield that will protect the hydrangea against further infection. Spray your plant every two weeks until control is achieved.
