How to grow

Position

Full sun or part shade

How

Sow in pots or trays of Yates Seed Raising Mix and transplant when 5-6cm tall. Planting in pots will contain its vigorous growth.

Care

Best grown in moist soil in semi shade. Add compost and Yates Blood & Bone before planting. Apply Yates Thrive Soluble Plant Food at regular intervals.  Protect plants from snails and slugs with Yates Blitzem.  Cut back regularly to promote fresh growth. In cold areas will die down in winter.

Hint

Great companion plant for cabbage and tomatoes. To make a peppermint tea add 2 teaspoons of chopped leaves to 1 cup of hot water. Let stand for 5 minutes, strain and cool. Sip tea to aid digestion, reduce tension and relieve symptoms of colds and nausea.
