How do I get rid of creeping beggarsweed (Desmodium incanum) from my lawn.

I live in Brisbane and have battled with removing this weed from my lawn for a few years now. The lawn does get dry over winter and then with the droughts we have had the lawn is not always as healthy as it could be. But just as I think I have beaten it, this weed comes back with vengeance. Any ideas from you would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Liz

Unfortunately, we haven't got a selective herbicide registered to eradicate this weed.

Try dabbing it carefully with Zero Gel, taking great care not to let this product touch your lawn as it will kill it.  Or remove it by hand.

Keeping your lawn in good condition will also help crowd it out, so consider treating the area with a wetting agent and fertilising at least every SEP & MAR.
