hi,i live in brisbane and grasshoppers are eating my mint and basil ,i really need to find a solution as they are really distroying my herbs:(they are the little green grasshoppers
Dear Mavis,
When using pesticides on edible crops it is best to use a product that is low in toxicity and has a short withholding period. Grasshoppers are difficult to control as they are fast moving and often the damage is noticed after the pest has moved on. The plants will soon recover by using a fertiliser to encourage new growth. To prevent any further damage, simply cover your herbs with some netting. This way no spraying is necessary.
