Do Valotta bulbs die back after flowering when can I repot them
Valotta bulbs. Do they die back after flowering? When can they be repotted?

Dear Elaine,
The foliage of the Vallota or scarborough lily is evergreen in warm climates but may be deciduous in cooler areas. In Victoria, the bulb is likely to die down but is best if left undisturbed for several seasons, not lifted, as it seems to flower better when congested.
