Mature standard Gardenia Magnifica plant, bark peeling near soil level. Is that natural or how to take care?
I have two mature standard Gardenia Magnifica plant, bark peeling near soil level. Is that natural or how to take care of them? These are nearly 1.6 meter tall and I bought them on last year spring.

Bark Peeling is not normal for Gardenia. You may check if there are any sign of rot. To control, try 'Yates Anti Rot'. It is a systemic fungicide which is absorbed by the foliage and travels down to the roots, can be used on various plants to control phytophthora root rot, crown rot and collar rot.
