Sow into trays of Yates Seed Raising Mix. Firm down, water gently and keep moist through germination period. Transplant when large enough to handle.
Care
Choose a well drained, wind-protected position in full sun. Add Yates Blood & Bone and Yates Hydrangea Pinking Liquid Lime & Dolomite before planting, and fertilise regularly with Yates Thrive Soluble Plant Food. Protect from snails and slugs with Yates Blitzem.
Hint
Remove spent flowers to encourage more blooms. If sown in early spring, carnations may flower in 12-15 weeks.
