An easy-to-grow, spinach-like silverbeet, with smooth leaves and slim, green stalks. It provides a prolific harvest of succulent leaves for more than a year and resists bolting to seed.
Sow direct where they are to grow or in trays of Yates Seed Raising Mix. Cover lightly, firm down and keep moist. Transplant or thin out when about 6-8cm high.
Choose a sunny, well-drained position. Add Yates Blood & Bone before sowing. Mulch around plants in hot weather. Apply Yates Thrive Soluble Plant Food fortnightly for a good yield. Protect from snails and slugs with Yates Blitzem.
Great companion plant for beets, marjoram and onion. Harvest by pulling (rather than cutting) stems, starting with the outside leaves.
Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
