Raise in trays of Yates Seed Raising Mix or sow direct where they are to grow. Cover with mix, firm down and keep moist. Transplant after 4-6 weeks.
Grow in sun or semi-shade. Enrich soil with organic fertiliser (such as Yates Blood & Bone or Dynamic Lifter) before planting. Feed plants regularly with Yates Thrive Soluble Plant food. Continuous harvest promotes new growth. Protect plants from snails and slugs with Yates Blitzem.
Leaves will be darker when temperatures are cooler. Control leaf-eating grubs with a Yates caterpillar killer (Success or Dipel) or a Yates Vegetable Dust (Derris).
