An excellent hot weather variety that can also be grown in the cooler months. It produces a good-sized main head followed by side shoots. Attractive colour and fine flavour.
Sow into trays of Yates Seed Raising Mix. Firm down and keep moist. Transplant when about 7cm high.
Choose a sunny, well-drained position. Plant in a different garden bed each year to avoid soil-borne diseases. Add Yates Blood & Bone before planting. Cut the centre head before flowers open. Protect from snails and slugs with Yates Blitzem. Control leaf-eating grubs with a Yates caterpillar killer (Success or Dipel) or a Yates Vegetable Dust (Derris).
Great companion plant for beans, beets, tomatoes, cucumber and potatoes.
Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
