How to Grow
Choose a sunny, well-drained position and mix Yates Dynamic Lifter into the soil. Each beetroot 'seed' is a cluster of 1-4 true seeds. Soak for two hours before sowing. Sow seed direct where the plants are to grow or raise seedlings in small pots of Yates Seed Raising Mix. When 3-5 cm tall, separate clustered seedlings and transplant into their final position. When growing in pots, choose a pot at least 30 cm in diameter and fill with Yates Premium Potting Mix. Keep the soil or potting mix moist.
Feed plants every fortnight with Yates Thrive All Purpose Soluble Fertiliser. Protect from snails and slugs with Yates Snail & Slug Bait.
Pick tender young leaves for salads. Harvest baby beets from 6 weeks. Sow more seed at 4-5 weekly intervals for an ongoing supply. Yates seed is tested and proven. We will gladly replace any packet that does not perform to your satisfaction.
