How do I control dianella spreading in my garden?
They were planted from 6 inch pots 5 years ago - however, each pot has produced up to 10 new off shoots scattered. I would like to poison the new ones and just leave the originals! Have tried round-up and also tree and blackberry poison but to no avail. Any suggestions. There are really too many to pull up by hand - although I will do it if that is the only solution!
Hi Judy,
I can appreciate the problem you have with the dianella spreading throughout your garden. I think the key is to not allow the plant to flower and produce seed, which is so easily dispersed. As you have already tried different herbicides without much success, I think hand removal is going to be the answer.
