What plants are suitable to plant on a slope in clay soil with trees overhead in the tropics to hold the soil
We have built a retaining wall and the soil below needs planting. Its on a slope, its clay soil and surrounded by trees. We want something that will hold the soil together to help hold it in place. We want to plant native plants. I live North of Cairns.
Hi Maria,
The best thing to do when planting natives in your garden is to check with your local council open space section or local nursery on what species are available and what grows best in your area. However some suggestions are:
- lomandra spp
- scaveola sp
- Daniella spp
