The bindi has come up everywhere all through the lawn. I have never had it before and did not know what it was. I found a picture on the internet to identify it.

It is unfortunate that you hadn't noticed the bindii growing before the burrs had appeared. Once this weed flowers and produces the burr, it is too late to eradicate. It will be a matter of hand removing those burrs now so you can walk on your lawn. The time to control the bindii is through the winter months when the foliage of this weed is present. Depending upon what type of grass you have, there are Yates products that can be used. If you have buffalo grass, we would suggest that you apply a product called Buffalo Pro Weed n Feed. If you have a lawn that is anything other than buffalo, we would suggest a product called Bindii & Clover Weeder. Both of these products are broad spectrum herbicides that will control bindii and other broadleaf weeds.
