When is the best time to use soil wetting agents

When can I use soil wetting agent after fertilising? It says on container not to use at the same time but how long should I wait/ Months or weeks??

General Advice • Product Advice

It is preferable to use the wetting agent before fertilising because once the soil's surface tension is broken, water and fertiliser will be readily accepted. It is important to water well after the application so as to wash any solution off plant foliage. A fertiliser can then be used after a few days. As most coir based wetting agents contain fertiliser there isn't a need to apply additional fertiliser while the mulch exists. The product you need to apply is Yates Waterwise Soil Saturator. This product is available in granular or liquid form for your convenience.
