After placing Lime in the soil & watering down, how long afterwards can i use fertiliser such NPK etc?

Hi Justine,

You are obviously applying lime to your soil to raise the pH. Perhaps your soil is too acidic and not suitable for what you want to plant. It does take time for the lime to react with the soil - probably around 2 months so it would be best to wait for that period of time before applying a fertiliser. Do a pH test after the two months to see if the pH of your soil is at a suitable level. If you are planting out a vegie garden, a suitable pH would be around 6 - 6.5. Happy gardening.
