I require advice on the use of Baythroid for treatment of katydids on citrus, or a suitable alternative.
I suspect that katydids are migrating from adjoining bushland so a systemic treatment would seem logical
Fruit and Citrus • Pests
Katydids, while they might be causing some damage to your citrus trees, have a beneficial use in the garden, consumer many different insects.
We don't have a product to control Katydids in the garden, and don't recommend using any products to control them. Baythroid Advanced is not registered for use on Citrus trees. It is also a contact spray so doesn't absorb into the plant itself.
As they may be causing some damage and stress to the plant, we recommend giving the plant a regular feed with 'Yates Thrive Citrus & Fruit Natural Fish & Seaweed'. This will assist with the plants recovery and assist with stress.
