Hi, I saw your helpful advice for south facing garden. My garden is north facing and can get quite hot in summer due to its sheltered position. I would like to plant flowering plants which bloom for a long time (preferably white)which are quite low (or can be trimmed to be kept low no more than 40 cms) for a uniform look as an ornamental bed. No natives please. What do you recommend?

For a north facing position consider planting Gardenia "Radicans", Agapanthus "Snowball", Murraya "Min-a-min", carpet roses, bearded irises, dianthus, geraniums, lantana, dwarf argyranthemum.
