Getting The Chits

Sweet_Potato is talking about growing Tomato from Eastern Eyre Peninsula

Just starting off...

I share my seedling potatoes each year with my father. But this year, he got too busy in the family business and let his potato patch go undug. The plants were taller than TheLittleDigger by the end of Winter and it’s only now that he’s digging them up, a little at a time.

There are so many spuds – Nicolas, Kipfler, Salad Rose, Sapphires, King Edwards – at all different stages of development. So, rather than waste them – any small or damaged ones are now piled into egg cartons and closed into my shoebox where they will become the next generation of potatoes in my garden.
