Madmarg is talking about growing Broccoli, Zucchini, Peas from Adelaide

Garden ready!

I didn’t know if I’d make the end but I have. The past couple of days have been very hot and steamy.  Today will be hotter but is overcast and very sultry with the possibility of a thunderstorm.  My first bed displays Silverbeet, Zucchini, Broccoli, Eggplant, and hidden at the back are some Peas, Spring Onions and Parsley.  The Silverbeet is a little frazzled by the heat but fine, the Zucchini are the stars of this bed, there are a lot of flowers and juvenile fruit under the leaf canopy, the Broccoli are less successful, not a bud in sight.  The Eggplant has quite a few flowers so I’m hopeful of some fruit in the New Year.  The onions and peas are rather slow and the parsley is developing nicely.  The Oregano I planted next to the Parsley were a no show – a complete flop.  The photo is the front view of the bed.
