Onions....

Smeesy is talking about growing Leek, Spring Onion from South West

This year I am growing red and brown onions as well as spring onions and leeks. 

Two weeks after planting my onions seeds, they have sprouted and I will look at transplanting them to the garden bed in a couple of weeks.

Rain, rain and more wonderful rain.....

Smeesy is talking about growing Broccoli, Broadbeans, Cabbage, Chilli, Eggplant, Leek, Spring Onion from South West

We have been blessed with much loved rain for the last week so the ground in nice and moist which will give the little seedlings a wonderful drink. 

Most of our brassica, tomatoes and basil seeds have sprouted in their hot box...

My brassicas (cabbage, broccoli, brussel sprouts) have sprouted.  I am growing them in large plastic containers which serve as a hot house and keeps the remaining frost at bay.  They should be big enough to plant out in about 4 weeks....
