Choose a pot or hanging basket at least twice the size of the root-ball. Position in an area that receives filtered light and fill with quality potting mix, such as Yates Potting Mix with Dynamic Lifter.
Remove the plant from the container, gently tease the roots.
Position in hole and backfill with potting mix, gently firming down. Water in well.
After the initial watering, allow the potting mix to almost completely dry out before watering again. To test, insert your index finger to the first knuckle, if it’s dry, water and if it’s still moist, don’t water.
As these plants dislike too much water on their leaves or in the soil they can suffer from root rot. Avoid this by watering from the base or at soil level and in smaller amounts.
Due to their cascading and easy to care for nature, Rhipsalis are perfect for Kokedama.
