How To Grow Rhapis Palm

The Rhapis Palm (Rhapis spp.) is a lovely feature palm with its’ dense dark green foliage being a contrast in a well-lit position indoors.

Position – Rhapis Palm grows best in a well-lit position away from full sun. They don’t like to grow near draughts but can also grow in cold parts of the house and are cold tolerant.
Water – A great plant to have inside, it likes a moderate water supply but will tolerate short periods of dry soil.
Soil – Yates Premium Potting Mix
When To Grow – All year round

How To Grow

Step 1: Choose a well-lit spot indoors or a protected position in a patio situation.
Step 2: Fill the pot with Yates Premium Potting Mix#.
Step 3: Remove the plant from its container, try to avoid disturbing the roots excessively.
Step 4: Position the plant in the middle of the new pot. A large pot about twice the size of the root ball would be ideal. Fill in around the plant with potting mix and water well.
Step 5: Water on a regular basis in summer but reduce in winter when conditions change. Will tolerate dry soil for short periods.
Step 6: Feed every two weeks in the growing season (spring to mid-autumn in temperate areas) with Yates Thrive All Purpose Liquid Plant Food.
