is weed and feed safe for my cat and dogs

i have two dogs and a cat that go into the back yard regulary i havnt been weeding or feeding the lawn and it is looking dreadfull. Can i use weed and feed and if so how long do i have to wait until i can let the animals out. Also noting tht they do eat the grass from time to time

Answer: Hi Joanna,
The product will be safe for dogs and cats as long as they are not around at the time of spraying, and while its drying. It normally takes half a day when the weather is warm. For animals that rely on the grass for food it is a much longer period.
