Ron
Medium_grass_or_weed Unknown weed or wild grass growing everywhere

The bright green weed (or grass??) shown in the photo is going mad in our lawn. Much lighter green than the photo suggests. Very thin blades which grow from thick clumps. Grows a lot quicker than the mainly couch lawn. Weed and Feed has no affect when spraying the lawn. Too much of it now to use round-up spray etc. Is it seasonal? Will it die of its own accord? If neither, how can I get rid of it?

Answer: Hi Ron,

Thank you for contacting Yates regarding the weed control. The grass appear to be crab grass which is an annual grass. Unfortunately we don’t have a selective herbicide for grassy weeds in lawn, you may try spot spray with Yates Zero Rapid 1-Hour Action Weedkiller which is a contact herbicide. Click here for more info: http://www.yates.com.au/products/weed-control/gardens-paths-and-driveways-non-selective-control/Zero-Rapid-1-Hr-Action-Weedkiller-concentrate/

Hope this helps and happy gardening.

Best Regards,
Louise
