What is the best solution for spraying the soil beneath plant and leaves of roses that have black spot? Judy

Answer: Hi Judith,

When spraying your roses with Lime Sulfur after they have been pruned, you can also use the same solution to spray the soil in the beds where your roses are growing. Before doing so, be sure to pick up any of the leaves that have been affected with black spot.

The Lime Sulfur will form a protection film of sulfur on the bare branches of roses to prevent fungus from entering.
