Hi there; the lower leaves of my tomato plants are starting to get eaten by tomato grubs and I suspect spider mites as well! Will Yates Tomato Dust get rid of this problem?

Hi there; the lower leaves of my tomato plants are starting to get eaten by tomato grubs and I suspect spider mites as well, because I've found some webbing. Will Yates Tomato Dust get rid of this problem?

Can you apply the Dust to the stems of the plant as well as the leaves? How much dust is too much?

Answer: Dear Kay,
Tomato Dust contains 3 active ingredients. Spinosad, an insecticide derived from natural soil bacteria which will control tomato grubs and potato moth (tomato leaf miner). Sulphur will control tomato mite and other mites. Copper Oxycloride to control fungal diseases.

You will need to apply the product sufficiently to cover the whole plant. As you apply the dust to the plant the product will naturally fall onto both the stems and leaves of the tomato bush. There is no need to apply excessive amounts of the product at one time. You will re-applying the dust every 7-10 days to give the plant protection against pest and disease damage.

Hope you receive a great crop this summer.
