What size pot should I plant a Waratah in?

Submitted: 05:04PM, 02 Jan 2013
Answer: Pot size is determined by the plants rootball.

If your plant has outgrown its container (roots are starting to circle around the inside or poke out the drainage holes in search of more growing room) or if it
is top heavy or the water drains through the container quickly, it is time to re-pot.

Resist the urge to move your plant to a substantially bigger pot. Select one a couple of inches (5 cm) bigger. If you use too large a container, the extra soil will soak up too much water, the plant’s roots will grow more than necessary and foliage and flower growth will decrease.
