Port wine magnolia x 2 potted from sunny spot in garden. 1m high Appreciate advice on location, feed etc.

As they were in the garden and now potted, will this affect their growth. They are very healthy with lush green leaves. Your advice would be appreciated.

Answer: Hi Anna,
Port wine magnolias can be grown in pots but if you have transfered them from the garden then it would be a good idea to use some Yates Uplift Root Booster to help promote new root growth. They prefer morning sun rather than really hot afternoon sun.
Fertilise at least twice a year – in Spring and again in Autumn with either Yates Uplift Organic Liquid fertiliser or Garden Gold.
Use good potting mix which contains fertiliser and water crystals and check the soil moisture before watering.

During Summer you may have to water more than once a week.
