Yesterday I noticed a couple of thick clusters of flying ants on my newly acquired, large potted buxus ball. In my panic I sprayed it with household insecticide then immediately realized it might have damaged the plant. It certainly got rid of the flying

I then got the hose and drenched the leaves hoping this might help. What is the likelihood of damage to my large potted buxus ball, from household insect spray?

Answer: Hi,

I wouldn’t worry too much about it, it is an insecticide, so should have no affect on the plant. However, in the future, I would spray Yates Pyrethrum on any flies near plants.

Tammy
