Are there any flowering plants I can pot on my Sydney balcony to add colour during Autumn and Winter?

Are there any plants which flower during Autumn and Winter which I can pot to brighten up my balcony during Autumn and Winter in Sydney? Would get sun for the majority of the day.

Answer: There are many colourful annuals flowering in autumn and winter. These annuals include pansies, violas, primula, cineraria, calendula, dianthus, alyssum, marigold, lobelia, poppy and polyanthus. Potted bulbs also put on a great show – look for cyclamens and dwarf ranunculus.
