Can the Confidor lawn spray be used on a lillypilly. It is too tall to reach otherwise.

It is heavily infested with psylids. I have cut back a lot but need a systemic spray. If I use the normal spray, do I need to cover the entire foliage to get a good result or will the systemic effect take the product higher into the tree?

Answer: The Confidor lawn spray can only be used on lawn grasses not plants. Your lillypilly may benefit from one of the other Confidor preparations to control psyllids including Confidor tablets. These tablets are easily applied to the soil and one tablet is needed for every one metre of height of plant. It will take a couple of weeks for the roots to uptake the chemical but once absorbed, this will provide protection for several months.
