Answer: Dear Jenny,

Baythroid can be applied to a lawn in late summer/early autumn. This product will kill the adult Black African Black Beetle. Baythroid can also be used in early spring when the adult beetle is once again active. Baythroid does not kill the larvae of the black beetle. The product to use to control the larvae of the black beetle (curl grub) is called Confidor HoseOn Insecticide and it should be applied mid spring to mid summer.
