When do I put out Fruit Fly traps for my plums, apple and citrus trees?

Submitted: 04:01PM, 14 Sep 2012
Answer: Hi John,
The best time to put out fruit fly traps for stone fruit such as plums, is when the fruit is quite small and hard. Apples are not generally attacked by fruit fly and so you may prefer to put out codling moth traps.

Citrus can be attacked by fruit fly so traps can be used to monitor when to apply Yates Nature’s Way Fruit Fly Control. Put out the traps when the citrus fruit starts to change colour.
I have attached an article from the Dept of Agric WA on the control of fruit fly for your interest.
