I have aphids on the leaves of basil plants. I have tried a garlic spray however they persist. Could you suggest a spray that has minimal withholding period as the plants require picking frequently?

Answer: You may wish to try Yates Natures Way Insect and Mite Killer Natrasoap. This product is soap based and coats the insect causing it to suffocate and dry out. Soft leafed plant material require the lesser dilution rate of 15ml per litre of water rather than the standard 30ml per litre of water. Spray early morning or late evening. There is no witholding period but it is advisable to rinse the herb well prior to using.
