"Healthy" Grevillea with borers blew over in strong wind. What soil remediation is needed? Can I replant?

about 3m wide, 3m tall, 15 yrs old, flowering, looking very healthy but for the borers. Blew over. Very shallow roots. Want to plant another grevillea or fruit tree in the same spot. Full sun, good drainage, facing west, minimal frosts, Lower Hunter, NSW

Answer: Hi Jan,
Prior to replanting another grevillea or fruit tree apply some Dynamic Lifter Organic Plant food and dig into the soil. Leave for 1-2 weeks prior to planting.
After planting your shrub apply some Yates Uplift Organic Plant Starter and Root Booster. This product contains seaweed which stimulates growth and promotes strong healthy roots. It also contains some Fulvic acid to improve nutrient uptake and soil bioactivity. Wetting agent and Bio-Activ soil microbes are also contained within the Root Booster.

You may wish to wait until the weather warms up before planting anything new. If you are in an area prone to frost then after planting spray the plant with DroughtShield which protects plants from heat, water loss, transplant stress, drying winds and frost.
