Answer: Hi Danielle,

Thank you for contacting Yates.

It seems your lilly pilly has been affected by two different pests. The eaten edges suggest that it may have been attacked by green stripe leaf beetle- Paropsides calypso for which we currently do not have a registered product as a control.

However the sooty mould on the leaves suggests that the tree might have been attacked by sap sucking pests like scales, aphids and mealy bugs. To control them you can use Yates Pest Oil. It’s available in both a convenient ready to use spray and a concentrate form. For more info, click here: http://www.yates.com.au/products/pest-control/insects-ready-to-use/pest-oil-ready-to-use/

A good feed with Dynamic Lifter Soil Improver & Plant Fertiliser will also help improve plant health, immunity and boost foliage growth.

Hope this information is helpful, if you have further queries do let us know.

Kind regards,

Eric
