Could you please identify this creature eating my lilly pilly, and advise of the best way to get rid of it.

Answer: Hi Dan,

Thanks for contacting Yates.

From the photo it looks like it is the larvae of the Green Strip Beetle (Paropsides calypso). Unfortunately, we don’t have any controls that are registered to combat this particular pest.

The best way to control these pests is to remove them by hand then give the plant a good feed with some Dynamic Lifter Soil Improver and Plant Fertiliser and water in well.
