Answer: Hi Tracey,
Thank you for your inquiry. There are caterpillars that sometimes do have a casing and they are case or bag moths. It is difficult to control them because of their casing but if you only have a few its best to cut them off and relocate them. They often don’t often cause too much damage. I hope this helps
