Citrus gall wasp treatment?

Submitted: 03:28PM, 04 Jul 2016
Answer: Hi There
Citrus gall wasp can be a problem to deal with. Last September small black wasps would have laid their egges in the young soft twigs of your lime and lemon trees. You would have noticed swellings( galls) on the branches from Autumn onwards. Because the wasp will emerge from these galls in September/October, you will need to prune off and dispose of these infected branches before the end of August. If you don’t do this then, the wasp will emerge and re-infect the tree by laying eggs in the new shoots.
In spring give your citrus a feed with Dynamic Lifter to help get it as strong as possible.
