Steve
Medium_img_3611 Hydrangea - insect + fungus

I have a number of problems. After recent heat, probably 1% of leaves have brown burn marks. I understand mites leave same marks.

All soft green branches have insect damage of little slotted holes. The branches quickly die.

New and old leaves have distorted growth. I thought spider mites.

I also have older yellowing leaves with dusty surface that I think are powdery mildew.

Does Yates have a compatibility chart for treatment of multi problems?

I remove all damaged and dispose leaves but most new growth. I have sprayed Confidor, Confidor +nd oil, and miticides.

I can only attach 1 photo that shows slotted insect damage, yellowing leaves and distorted leaves. Thank you.

Answer: Hi Steve

You are doing the right thing with the approach you’ve taken. I would also advise that you mulch the plants with some good composted bark and continue to feed
Pick up any fallen leaves and dispose of them.

prune hard in late winter for new growth and flowering branches.

Kind regards
Ben
