When to prune roses

Submitted: 02:11PM, 28 May 2015
Answer: Roses are best pruned in winter while they are dormant. You can start to prune about now (May) depending on where you are in the country. Straight after pruning your roses, while they have no leaves spray the stems and soil around the plant with Yates Lime Sulphur. This will control any fungal spores, scales or mites in the area.
