Medium_image Brown rings in lawn

I have several yellow rings of dying grass in my kikuyu lawn in the Southern Highlands of NSW. I have checked for grubs by digging up a square and also by placing a wet towel over one ring overnight but have found no evidence of grubs. When the dew is still on the lawn there is an obvious webbing around the outer rim of the circles as can be seen in the photo. I'm guessing that the problem is a fungi but am unsure how to treat. Please advise

Answer: Hi Janet, this is a mite called grass webbing mite that has attacked your lawn. We don’t have a treatment that is registered but you could try a product called Natures way veggie and herb spray which is organic soap and may smother the pest. Feed your lawn really well with organics and now is a good time to aerate the soil. I hope this helps
