Hi guys!
Over the past 3 days I have lost 3/4 of my lawn, it's browning off and looking awful. To check for lawn grub/curl grub, I did the soapy water trick, and all that rose up in that section were many MANY thin greeny-brown caterpillars. Are they causing this damage or is it something else? There's literally no sign of anything else around in the lawn. Cheers!

Answer: Hi Tahlia
Thank you for the question.
It sounds like you are having a problem with army worm. These are small caterpillars which will eat your lawn away. You can treat it by applying Yates Baythroid Lawn & Garden Insecticide. Then help you lawn grow back by giving it a feed with Dynamic Lifter for Lawns.
